This is an ideal plant for the average pond, producing masses of pompom-like bright yellow double flowers in early spring and neat mounds of shiny green heart-shaped leaves. Clump-forming and very ornamental and easy to grow. So good it has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit (AGM). If cut back after its spring flowering, it will usually produce a second, lighter, crop of blooms in autumn as well.
If designing a planting scheme, we recommend approximately 2 Caltha palustris 'Flore Pleno' plants per square foot of ground, or 1 plant per linear foot of pond edge. Read more on how to .
